Overview

The business & the brief.

Aurelia Construction is a fictional design-build studio building a few new homes, renovations and interiors a year between Jupiter and Boca Raton. The site is built to earn the trust of patient, detail-literate homeowners and their architects, and to move them toward a considered project inquiry.

Aurelia Construction is a fictional business. This concept was designed and built by Obsidian Webworks to demonstrate what we create for construction businesses. No client results are implied.

Design direction

Look, feel & voice.

Architectural Digest crossed with a builder's drawing set: Marcellus inscriptional capitals over 100svh photography, hairline grids, registration marks and sheet numbers on limestone and travertine, with bronze reserved for fine lines and active states. It is calm, monumental and material-led, because this client sells patience and precision rather than speed.

Key features

Built to bring customers in.

Full-screen image menu

Menu opens a split overlay where hovering or focusing each link swaps a large project photograph, with focus trapping and Esc to close.

Materials sample room

Twelve stone, timber, metal and plaster swatches with keyboard-navigable category tabs; each opens a side panel with origin, finish, use and lead time.

Drafting-sheet system

Every section carries a sheet number (A-001, A-301…), hairline column grids and bronze registration marks, so the site reads like a drawing set.

Project data, not claims

Projects are presented as location · type · scope · duration tables with no budgets, awards or outcomes.

Plan drawings in SVG

Both case studies include a hand-drawn SVG plan with room keys, dimension strings, north point and scale bar.

Six-phase process timeline

A horizontal timeline whose bronze line draws in on scroll, reflowing to a vertical rule with diamond markers on mobile.

Considered inquiry form

Underline inputs and chip selectors for project type, timeline, budget range and architect involvement, with inline validation and a drafting-styled confirmation card.

Mobile as its own layout

Intentional hero crops, a swipeable scroll-snap materials row, a full-screen menu and a sticky Inquire link that steps aside near the footer.

Desktop preview

The full experience.

Hover (or tap) to scroll the entire homepage. Every section, top to bottom.
