SALT & LINEN
A September wedding on the North Fork. Linen, salt air, and a forecast nobody trusted. It held until the last dance.
Rain was forecast for four. It came at five past, for six minutes.
It held until the last dance.
Notes
A. and R. asked for no shot list, only one request: “Make it look like the weather.” So we followed the light, from a hazy noon to a clear blue hour, and kept the posed portraits to fifteen minutes on the bluff.
Half the day was shot on 35mm film. The gallery arrived in three weeks; the linen-bound book, a month after that.
